Creepy Puppet Project: Behind the Scenes

As I’ve said before, I love seeing “how” people do things.  We have written about Matt Ficner’s Creepy Puppet Project before (Warning: This series has scenes with blood and gore).  Here is some great footage that let’s you see how Matt approaches the building of some of his zombie puppets with his amazing creativity.  If [...]

Dinosaurs Behind the Scenes

I love behind the scenes of puppet television productions. Here is a great example of what can happen behind the scenes. Here is Kevin Clash playing Baby Sinclair and having fun with the people on set.

Puppet Winter Wonderland

There are lots of lip syncing videos out there.  I am normally not very impressed, because they are always so basic.  Well check out this one.  Great editing, great use of camera angles, movement and layers of puppets make it very entertaining.  Enjoy.

Puppet Heap Hiring

I am a big fan of the puppets and artists from the U.S. (New Jersey) based Puppet Heap.  Well, it appears that the company is looking to hire new artists.  I know that if I were able to apply, I would jump at the chance.  Would you?  The ad (found in the Backstage magazine/newspaper) asks for costumers that [...]

The Puppets Have Landed

Production value is everything.  Just look at how amazing this little commercial for LG phones is.  The puppets look great and the colours are amazingly vibrant.  I love it and I hope you do as well.  Be sure to check out a couple more outakes from their Youtube channel.

Welcome to the new Puppet Buzz!

Hello all!  It has been a while.  We have been busy planning a whole new Puppet Buzz.  We have updated the site (a huge thank you to the incredibly tallented Mr. Pasha Romanowski for the new look) and added some new contributors.  First, I would like to welcome back Pasha Romanowski, Tom Stewart and Zack [...]

Big and Small on Treehouse

I was fortunate enough to do some background puppeteering for Big and Small.  The show is another of The Grogs great productions.  Amazing puppets, some very cool green screen bunraku puppetry and one of the best crews I have ever worked with.  It makes me wish that I had more free time as a teacher [...]

I received a message from a buddy of mine named Dave Pavelonis.  He has teamed up with Omovies to create an amazingly entertaining political comedy show called PGOV: Puppet Government.  With comedy by Jay Leno’s head writer John Macks, puppets by Dave Pavelonis and directed by Omovies’ Sean Haines.  You can find videos on their Youtube [...]

Frank The Horse

I met Mark Gale in New York years ago.  I was struck not only with his talent and ability to keep me entertained, but also how kind he was.  Mark Gale has teamed up with Frankie Cordero to give you a funny Youtube series about a horse in New York.  Check out Frank The Horse.

Near Far Productions

I have a high level of respect for people who suffer for their craft, but when those people are really talented, I really respect what they do.  Let me introduce Near Far Productions, more accurately Aaron Salvato and John Barger.
You may have heard about Skippy Shorts, a high energy Youtube series with an off the [...]
