Thanks, I had these pages from the magazine for years and lost them in a move. I have been looking for this. We did this show every Christmas for 10 years. I made two sets of puppets and can’t wait to begin our tradition again. It’s soooo funny!!!

I am so glad to see this article again. In 1970, I made the puppets and performed the play at a church Christmas party. It has been a part of our Christmas Eve party every year since then! Needless to say, the puppets are starting to get worn, but they still have all their charm. When people want to borrow them, I can give them this article and instructions for them to make their own Christmas tradition. Thanks for sharing!!!

I had already made 2 “muppets” from the Jim Henson desinged Patterns from the above article. didnt use suggested colors.Perfect puppets everytime.I oftimes think that “old school”/retro design puppets from way back then are evry bit as good as the new type materials and designs
